Stumbled upon a bookshop in Fort, Mumbai. The kind of bookshop that makes you sad. The shelves resemble my balding head. There are a few books that were popular decades back. Faded greeting cards are on display waiting for people. There are no new books except for a few magazines. (the Economists outlook for 2022) that looked out of place. There are several road maps of India for tourists and some old Lonely Planet guides from the days before digital maps.
Before bookshops experimented with coffee shops and events, they tried to lure in people using greeting cards and birthday gifts. This shop preserves that age.
I picked up a plastic map of Indian subcontinent that made me feel my age.
